The Dark Shroud

I was unable to fall asleep last night. I lay awake, thinking..Or rather, observing the need for a human being to sleep. I brainstorm what it's like to sleep, nap, siesta. it comes out of no where. One minute you are laying awake, then your eyes are closed unwillingly. This is a part of sleep that mesmerizes me. You don't EVER remember falling asleep, As you'r eyes are closing you don't think to yourself, " I am falling asleep as of now". It may be another one of mankinds wonderous hormones that allows the mind to rest without the person knowing it is happening. Anyways, while you are asleep, Most people dream. Some people dream vividly, some people dream vaguely. But sometimes, Sometimes you don't dream at all. Just a..Black landscape, endless colorless space. This is what I come to know as being in a "Dead Sleep". Does this happen every once in awhile in a  person life to give them suttle hints as to what the lose of your life is like? Or is it a random coincidence? Once again, Questions pondered by Me every day. - Skeptical Rodent

Chaotic Predictablity

A statement was brought up to me by a good friend.. referred to as "Raptor" in my previous posts. He said "Life is organized through chaos itself." I completely agree. As life is largely unpredictable, Although it is predicted all the time. This ( as always ) branched off into another glorious conversation in its own. but let us stay on topic. You must know that as our race has progressed "we" have picked up proffesions, skills, etc. through endevours and/or blind adventures into the unknown. Where "we" learned through different tactics what is affected and how it is effected due to a certain cause(s). Surgery, medicine, science, Newton's laws, anything Einstien proved all were blind expeditions into a part of the world as we know it. To where we came out knowing something we did not before. This is, for the most part, a brave, yet understandable risk we take into the universes unsurmountable wonders. You hear about how our country is "going under" or 'deteriorating' or will eventually have a downfall.Or you hear about how " the world is going to end...". These statements most people turn their back to and pay no mind. Though everyone throws blame around on who it would be causeed by.. I feel as if when the earth is ending or the social economy is going to collapse it will be caused by one of our races grand explorations into a world ( or part of one ). It will harm "us" as a whole and ruin the standard of living for all. I know as a mere youngling in this world that I will not be able to prevent nor hinder this event. But I hope that the so called "Great Minds" of our time will understand this. Although some may not think so, Our race won't always be so lucky to just come out with a simple Learned lesson. We may learn a lesson that will change us completely. - Skeptical Rodent

Love, Emotion? or Sickness?

I... have an extremely argueable question. This is for any who have an opinionated question like mine. Love.. a word thrown around from time to time. Is it a human emotion, among hatred, sadness, and happiness? Or a sickness, among flu, diabetes, and cancer? This grand question I have pondered many a night. Yet, I always come to same conclusion, All living things will acquire the best of both worlds when it comes to "Love". It is inevitable, atleast one time in everyones terminal lives will they feel this..thing for someone else. When you think you love someone.. you do. there is no debate on whether you feel it or not, it is there just as life itself. Terminal. You may feel that you would want to "Grow old" Persay with this being. This is a common plea among 2 (or more on some occasions) individuals that "love" each other. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure that long before we as a race was created, born, hatched...evolved, whatever you may believe, that we were encouraged to feel this... thing for someone 1 time or another. When you "Fall" for a person.. at first, all is great. You feel..invincible. Like life is as good as it is going to get and nothing can bring you down. Some would call it a Blissful period of time between the begginning and the end. But WHEN it ends..there is no IF, You feel dead inside, weak, useless...Defeated. Now this is a situation at which again one feels can be relinquished with material things or secular ( as Raptor would say) things. This is a temporary fix for a Life Long problem. Some may not ever overcome this feeling.. Hence, Suicide, Homicide,  Maniacal beings, etc. You look at the "neighborhood Lunatic" like something is wrong with them. When in fact, there is something right with them and wrong with you. They have chosen the path to which they will no longer be faced with the repeated factor of life called "Love". They didn't know going into life that this would happen, but when it did, they chose the path that would later benefit them. Yes, they are not "normal" as the regular stereotype would put it, but they have been released from the cycle that would again put them in a state of mind that is deteriorating to human society (somewhat like Buddha's enlightenment). I look to people who commit suicide as not "weak" people, but the strongest people. To be able to understand the hurt of Love to the point of taking ones life to be free from it. COURAGE at its best. Those who overcome it, later remember the memories or remnants of that persons existance in their life. The "emotion" begins to flood back like a wave hitting a shore.. constant, and ever so strong in its path. This is when it begins sicken you. A "sickness" upon which one will chase a relief... material, secular,Religion, science. And so for me and my quizzical brain "Love" is both... and Neither at the same time. How do you feel about this undecisive subject? Love, Emotion..or Sickness? - Skeptical Rodent
